Why This Blog Exists
If you’re here, it probably means you’re the kind of person who asks questions. Big ones. The kind that don’t always have obvious answers. Questions about how we think, why we feel, and what makes us us.
I’ve spent years chasing those questions, and what I’ve found is that the way we usually explain the mind is . . . lacking. Too complex in some places, too simplistic in others. We know a lot, but we don’t always understand what we know. And if we don’t understand ourselves, what chance do we have at making sense of the world around us?
So, this blog is my way of thinking out loud. Testing ideas. Exploring how the brain, emotion, perception, and thought all come together in a way that’s both profoundly simple and infinitely complex.
What You’ll Find Here
I’m working on something big—something I call the Natural Cognition Model. It’s an attempt to describe the mind in a way that’s accurate and accessible. A model that fits everything we know, but doesn’t require a neuroscience degree to grasp. I’m writing a book series on it, but this blog? This is where I break it down, piece by piece.
You’ll find:
- Stories from the history of science—how we got here, and what we might have missed along the way.
- Explorations of music, emotion, and meaning—because cognition isn’t just logic, it’s resonance.
- Deep dives into topics like bias, decision-making, creativity, and even AI—because understanding the mind changes how we approach everything.
- Questions. Lots of questions. And sometimes, answers.
Why It Matters
The way we think shapes everything. How we communicate, how we learn, how we connect with each other. The better we understand thought itself, the better we can navigate our own minds—and the world.
If that sounds interesting to you, stick around. Let’s explore it together.
